Mission of the Center

* Studying the biological biodiversity of the earth, assessment of anthropogenic impact on species, biological communities and ecosystems, practical approaches to preserving genetic variability within species, protecting and restoring biological communities and associated ecosystem functions.

  • the development of areas of agricultural biodiversity, zootechnical, forestry, veterinary medicine, compared in different terrestrial ecosystems;
  • the development of scientific research, innovation and technology transfer programs in the fields of food safety, zoo-veterinary and fishery safety and security;
  • applied research for the implementation, development and increase of bioeconomic efficiency in anthropogenic ecosystems, highlighting the biodiversity in agroecosystems, the superior capitalization of the territorial capital and the Romanian natural heritage;
  • conservation and development of zootechnical biodiversity through gene banks and modern breeding biotechnologies.
